Qubux and Mailshell Join to Extend
Security and Protection for Sun Cobalt Server Appliances
Santa Clara, CA/Portland, OR, August 7, 2002 - Qubux,
a leading provider of server appliance application solutions
for Sun Cobalt today announced an agreement with Mailshell,
creator of the most accurate and reliable anti-spam
software, to provide spam protection for the Sun Cobalt
line of server appliances. Qubux will offer QSC, a special
version of Mailshell's artificial intelligence-based
anti-spam product, both as a stand-alone solution and
in a stack of security applications that includes QFS,
Qubux' artificial intelligence-based content filtering,
and QAV, its anti-virus filtering solution.
Qubux's complete security stack will be deployed on
Sun Cobalt's new general purpose Linux server being
introduced at Linux World in San Francisco, August 12,
2002. The security stack will also be available via
all other current Sun Cobalt platform offerings.
With this added technology, Sun Cobalt servers get
a significant increase in security against outside intrusion,
an increasing concern for servers world wide. Mailshell
blocks up to 99 percent of spam without false positives
or lost messages.
