Mailshell to Provide Anti-Spam Solution
for the Oracle Collaboration Suite
Santa Clara, CA. - February 25, 2003 - Mailshell,
creator of the SpamCatcher suite of anti-spam products,
today announced it will offer enhanced anti-spam capabilities
for the Oracle(R) Collaboration Suite. The company's
SpamCatcher Gateway Software is the first anti-spam
solution tested and available for deployment with Oracle
Collaboration Suite.
Mailshell's SpamCatcher suite is the easiest and most
accurate solution to spam. It integrates seamlessly
into Oracle Collaboration Suite, the first product that
leverages a relational database to offer a secure and
reliable way to simplify communications and consolidate
information with a suite of applications including file
management, email, voicemail, calendaring and search
capabilities.

Mailshell's SpamCatcher Gateway Software is an SMTP
proxy that scans each message and inserts a 'spam score'
header before passing the message to the Oracle Collaboration
Suite server. It requires no maintenance or additional
hardware and protects the entire enterprise from spam
through server-based policies on the network level.
Customers can easily adjust its filter strength; at
its default settings it catches more than 90 percent
of spam with far less than one percent 'false positives'.
Mailshell also offers an optional desktop component
allowing individual users to fine tune spam filtering
to meet personal preferences.
