Mailshell Investment
in OEM Technology Reflects Commitment to Global Customer
Base
SANTA CLARA, CA - July 1, 2004 - Mailshell,
the OEM anti-spam leader, today announced two significant
enhancements to its flagship Mailshell Anti-Spam SDK.
The company's core anti-spam engine now utilizes Mailshell's
new SpamCompiler AI technology that combines and optimizes
more than 300,000 checks of each message to more accurately
determine if a message is spam. Mailshell also announced
the launch of two new data centers to accommodate its
growing global installed base. "Powered by Mailshell"
spam filters are currently deployed by more than 4,000
companies and 10 million users worldwide.
Mailshell's SpamCompiler AI technology
optimizes compiles and executes more than 300,000 checks
to determine if a message is spam or not. SpamCompiler
AI conducts thousands of simultaneous calculations
in a fraction of a second. By combining a fast, compact,
flexible, complete decision tree with an automatically
self-tuning intelligent engine, Mailshell is able to
consistently generate highly accurate results in recognizing
spam.
Unlike other anti-spam solutions that
choose between catch rates versus false positives, accuracy
versus throughput, etc., the Mailshell SDK is designed
to consistently maximize speed, accuracy, and ease of
use.
Mailshell opened two new data centers
this month. In addition to its California-based center,
Mailshell now hosts relevant SDK-related databases in
New York and Paris, with plans to add a fourth data
center in Asia later this year. The move reflects both
the geographic breadth of organizations that deploy
'Powered by Mailshell' products, as well as the company's
commitment to support its international OEM partners.
"These new data centers reflect the needs
of our OEM partners based in the US, Germany, Israel,
Spain and the Philippines that each sell 'Powered by
Mailshell' solutions to customers all over the world,"
said Tonny Yu, CEO of Mailshell. "Investing in our technology
and infrastructure helps ensure that our OEM partners
can maintain high levels of satisfaction among their
customers who rely on Mailshell technology to stop spam."
About Mailshell Inc.: Mailshell
is the OEM anti-spam leader. By using Mailshell's software
development kit, Mailshell's partners increase their

developed explicitly to integrate spam-blocking technology
with common IT components, including security appliances,
mail servers, anti-virus applications and many others.
Via Mailshell's OEM partners, "Powered by Mailshell"
spam filters are currently deployed by more than 4,000
companies and millions of consumer desktops. For more
