"Stop Spam Today!" Campaign for Nonprofits Launches Today

Free Anti-Spam Software Available On 12/15/04

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, November 9, 2004 - and Mailshell today announced the second annual "Stop Spam Today!" Campaign (, a nationwide effort to help nonprofits fight spam by providing free, essential information, resources and tools. The campaign culminates on December 15 with a one-day giveaway in which nonprofits can visit to order free licenses of Mailshell's Anti-Spam Desktop software.

Qualified U.S. nonprofits and Canadian charitable organizations that are registered with TechSoup Stock are eligible for the give-away. More than 75,000 copies of free anti-spam software were distributed at last year's "Stop Spam Today!" event. With up to 75% of all email considered to be spam today, TechSoup and Mailshell expect the numbers to dramatically increase this year.
